Hinged magnetising coils
Description
HINGED MAGNETIZING COIL
The hinged magnetizing coil is used to magnetize ferromagnetic components during magnetic particle inspection (MT), a proven non-destructive testing method for detecting surface and near-surface defects.
When electric current flows through the coil, a longitudinal magnetic field is generated inside the coil, magnetizing the inserted component. This type of magnetization is particularly suitable for detecting cracks oriented transverse to the component axis.
The hinged design allows easy insertion of large or heavy components without the need to pass them through a closed coil. This makes the coil particularly suitable for large workpieces, series inspections, and components with complex geometries.
CONNECTIONS
The coil terminals are designed for crimp cable lugs as standard.
Optionally, the terminals can be equipped with DINSE quick connectors for fast and secure connection to magnetizing equipment.
